BRICKS, they/them), as the practicum of their master’s thesis at the Akademie of Mode & Design in Berlin, Germany. The guiding ideologies and methodolgies of this project are rooted in queer theory, intersectional feminism, xenofeminism, hacktivism, DIY anarchism, environmentalism, and slow/post-growth fashion. The founding vision behind the Rolodex is for queer and trans fashion practitioners to co-develop a space for autonomous representation and solidarity. We organize in a way that is flexible, fluid, and ever-evolving. We seek to create visibility for ourselves outside of cis-het fashion systems, while sharing opportunities for skill and resource sharing, mutual aid, and collaboration.
